Auswell Energy is answering all your burning solar related questions!
We understand that solar energy can be confusing at first, but we are here to make the process easier for you! So, we are going to answer some commonly asked questions!
Q1. What system size do I need?
The size of your system will depend on your electricity bill, and what your house can hold in terms of the number of solar panels. The installers at Auswell Energy are able to visit your property for an obligation free site inspection before choosing the best solution for you.
Q2. My house is being built now, what can I do to make sure I can get solar?
Rest easy, we can make a quality system work using the space available. Although, it would be wise to set aside some space for around 16 to 18 panels on the north facing side of your roof, because this is where they receive the most sunlight. Panel sizes vary but common sizes now available are 1.8m x 1.1m, so just over 35m2 for 18 panels. (See our preferred solar panels)

Q3. How much will I save on my bills with solar?
There is no set amount for how much you will save on your energy bill as it changes between households. However, there are some factors that can impact your savings.
Think of it this way, the most kWh of energy your solar system is producing the more you save. System production is not just determined by system size, location, orientation, and pitch of your roof are also some factors that can influence energy production.
Energy Prices and Self-Consumption
Energy prices are increasing and will continue to do so. Installing solar power in Brisbane is a way to combat these rising energy cots! Not only this but the energy you don’t use during the day you can sell back to the grid through your energy retailer. This means that solar won’t just save you money, but it also has the potential to make you money!
Q4. Do I need a battery?
To reap the benefits of solar at night, having a battery installed is necessary. You don’t have to install a battery straightaway; it can be added to your system later. (See our preferred solar batteries)
